| The hotel was built around the fascinating ruins which can be found throughout the resort. If this doesn't satisfy your urge for history, take a trip to nearby Tulum where Mayan ruins are perched on cliffs overlooking crystal clear waters and white sand beaches.
For golf enthusiasts, there is an 18-hole championship course across from the hotel designed by Robert Von Hagge. The course is built around Mayan ruins visible throughout the course which adds to the beautiful scenery along the fairway.
